I need some solace, please.
Our Landcruiser meeting here in Germany, the Buschtaxi-Treffen, was just cancelled due to Covid restrictions.:frown:
The organisers put in a lot of work and spirit. A great thanks for that anyway.
So, enjoy your US meeting and please share some pics & vids later..

We should have a host of post-event photos as well as some drone videos. 👍

Again, if you plan to attend and haven’t already done so please let me know at your earliest convenience.
Having accurate numbers will help with our planning.
Thanks

Hello,

Make sure you share the photos and videos after the event.

Juan
I believe the ability to post photos while in the park may be very limited but in the following days after the event there should be pages of photos. 😊

We plan to have a small 3-5 rig (80’s, 40’s, a 100 series) group from the small local club, Appalachian Cruisers, doing a trail run on Saturday the 18th.
If you have a designated meeting spot in the morning, we will try to stop by and check out the Rigs and say hello there before you head out!

Yes you are correct, if you are staying in one the cabins you should have the ability to post pictures using the WIFI in the evening etc. but on most trails your phone isn’t much more than a camera. There is some limited service around the store, overlooks, and on the route to the access points/ out of the park sites, but sometimes not enough to post pictures.

At past events, we’ve met in the main parking lot between 8:30am and 9:00am and pulled out shortly thereafter. A few days prior to the event we’ll try to post a schedule of Friday and Saturday’s events. Hopefully we can meet up. 😊

Sounds good!

The question of cost has popped up a few times so allow me to confirm that we …..

1) Do not require you to purchase a ticket to attend. The only cost is buying a park permit. This is one of those cases that when you tell your spouse that your Cruiser habit didn’t cost much you’ll be telling the truth. 😊
2) Do not hold a raffle unless we find something of value laying on the side of one the trails. 😊
3) Do not sell meal tickets (the closest we get to this is putting out a “contribution jar” to cover some of the cost). We’ve had volunteers step forward in the past to cover a large portion of the evening meal cost.
4) We do not print event t-shirts (yes we’re that cheap) but we do have event window decals (free).

** Our primary goal is to allow everyone to “put a face and name to a ‘MUD avatar” and spend a few days with fellow Cruiserheads. 😊

Owning a 70 Series isn’t required to attend our little get-together. 😊

ONLY A FEW WEEKS AWAY….. 😊
A couple of days out I’ll post the events itinerary as well as my contact info.
Again, if you plan to attend and haven’t already contacted me, please do so. Having accurate numbers will help the volunteers with planning. 😊

Things you should have done by now ……. 😁
1). Get your wife's permission to attend. (on second thought, this is a family friendly event so bring the wife and kids)
2). Get your bosses permission to attend. (I assume you don't want to bring your boss)
3). Reserved a place to lay your head at night. (cabin, camp sight, hotel)
4). Spread the word. (You may know a 70 Series owner who isn't active on 'MUD)

How many are attending as of now?

I would have to check both ‘MUD and Facebook but I believe the early numbers are in the 15 - 20 range. We probably won’t have final numbers until a day or so out. Historically we’ve had folks arrive on Thursday and only be able to stay until Friday evening while others arrive early Saturday morning and stay through Sunday so the daily totals can vary. I believe we’ll have folks from the local Cruiser clubs also drop by.

This is basically a “social event“ that involves Land Cruisers and regardless of the turnout, we plan to have fun. 😁

There are at least 5 Cruisers (several of which are 70 Series) coming up from Southwest Georgia. 😊

I assume I'm the only 70 series coming from Connecticut.

That’s your opportunity to pick up quite the caravan between CT & TN. 😁

This thread was first posted on 1/20/21 to give everyone ample time to arrange for lodging or camp sights but to quote the local farmers “we are in the short rows now” with the event coming up in a little over 2 weeks. 😊
***I will post my contact number a few days out for those that need last minute info.
