Original headlights were brown. Multiple tries at restoring them yielded only temporary results.
So new OEM units are in there now. Made a huge difference in the appearance.
And Toyota made that a lot harder than it had to be.

Middle daughter and I performed that OEM swap a couple years ago on Ginny’s rig. They look great, but GD.

Had the paint corrected and then the whole truck ceramic coated today. She looks brand new. All the limb scratches are gone. Super pleased w the results.

I am gonna let my teen daughter drive my 80, and would love to get someone to do that paint correction on mine. Anyone know someone in Memphis that does that level of work??

Did you apply a UV coating after polishing?

I used the 3M headlight restoration kit to remove the yellowing on mine, then used Sylvania UV block to prevent future yellowing (hopefully?). It's only been a couple months but I was really trying to avoid buying new assemblies at $750/ea so I gave it a shot.
