What's the big deal about the TLCA?

A very difficult question my lil' Mes'kin friend. I will say that any time you have a group of people trying to work together ... it can be a difficult task to keep that group focused. The task becomes even more difficult when there is a basic disagreement on what the group should even be focused on. I'll leave it at that.

Do they speak fluent English at this conference phone calls or is it like Kowboy's inglish? Ja! Ja!

It must be fluent English ... they sure didn't seem to understand what I was tryin' to say. :grinpimp:

But in all fairness, my opinions were not representative of the majority of members ... which is why I resigned.

Come on Sir It can't be that difficult. I am in the middle of two countries, two cities and two different Customs (US & MEX) two major Rail Road companies(Union Pacific & Kansas city Southern.) oh! and on top of that add the bad attitude of the US & MEX Customs, the Language problem between the Rail Roads (Union Pacific= only english & Kansas City Southern= Spanish)

I ain't complaining about my job but let's just say sometimes it's not easy.

Guess we just have to sharpen up a little on our negotiation skills. when something like this happen, basically, you have to revisit the mission statement, also take a look at vision and directions that we are suppose to go. Sometime we loose the vision and the direction of where we're going and that's where trouble starts.

Man! I read all that stuff that I wrote and sounds good! Sorry Sir! I don't know if this here writing is to Whie Trash standards.

Reck on guys

See you next year on the trails!

You know damn-well you're welcome at The Reunion Boy ...

but if'n that ends up bein' your first event of the year ... then your sorry ass ain't gonna be in the drawin' for the winch again.

How the hell am I gonna keep supplyin' our Californified friends with winches then??:confused:

That's a damn good one College boy! The mud would stick if I didn't have so much wax and armor all on my rig! You better brush up on yo hand to hand combat because the next time I see you I'm whoopin' yo ass!

Later,

Hell, I'll just drive real fast in my little midget car and you won't be able to get me!

Yup. Just a microcosm of life. Same story, only the names are changed.

It's really a question of quality vs. quantity.

Mr. President, I think I have a solution to the delegate issue. If'n we've got a couple of folks that'll carry us thru the next year, Green Lantern's term as AVP should be up, and he'd make a heck of a delegate. He's a very patient guy with the kind of temperment it takes to deal with the BOD. :)

Sorry I hadn't posted up earlier. Been workin' most of the holidays and it has been one busy MoFo.

I have my fill of the politico stuff at TLCA just bein' the backup delegate for Lone Star and readin' all the posts. I couldn't stomach doin' it every month.

As for the WTotEC, we will support it whether it is in TLCA or not. It has been the best group of folks me and Mrs. Troutwoman have ever hung out with and acted drunk and stupid in front of. Damn proud to call you folks freinds and family. Thats not to say we don't support the TLCA - we do and LSLC as well. They just don't have to be connected in our book. OK if they are and OK if they're not. I just won't step up and be the delegate. Not now anyway.

Done ramblin' cause I need another beer. :grinpimp:

Hey Doc!

How was the hockey this year? I watched "Slap Shot" in your honor over the holidays.
Happy Trails! N

One of the best movies ever. I'm not playing on a team at the moment, so I am taking the opportunity to officiate. Got my half a season ticket package and enjoyin' the Stars. As Bigcountry says - "Its all good.":hillbilly:

Well ...

WELCOME BACK!! ... Kotter.

just couldn't resist that one ...

Thanks for the thoughts sir and it's lookin' like Alec's gonna be our new Delegate so we'll still be in TLCA.

:flamingo:

I got off work a little early today so I decided I better do some catchin up on the readin for this delegate stuff. Holy s***. I been readin for 4 hours now, and I only went back to Christmas. It's gunna be interesting.

I've been a member of the TLCA since 2001, and I have enjoyed it. Even if it's just for Toyota Trails. It's a good mag. If I hadn't been a member, I wouldn't have met a lot of y'all. And that's a damn good thing.

So in what seems like it should be White trash fashion, I'm gunna keep on stirin s*** up.

Alec
