Ambulance door first time hanging

That's what I assumed. My plan is to get the hard top installed and hang the ambulance doors by the top hinges (Hard top) and then align doors. Once aligned secure doors (tape etc). Mark lower hinge drill hole locations. I will use through bolts with a washer on the back. Do the lower hinges need a gasket between the hinge and metal tub? Does that seem logical?

For adjustment the hole in the tub itself is larger than thread holes in the plate. Look my picture and can see the spot welds are. If there wasn't bed liner you bent the top cover one down and the bottom up. Plates will come out. Then you could see right the holes go and the correct size. Just because you align the top hinge doesn't automatically mean the plate on the bottom plates are going to be in the correct spot. On both front and back doors the tub side and door size of the hinges are adjustable.

I always go by the saying any job worth doing is worth doing right.
