We are going to go do a trip down to the alvord desert Friday August 28th. The plan is to do some exploring around south of the desert first for the day on some two track roads then camp out on the alvord or up at the north end by Mickey hot springs Friday night. Saturday we will do the Steens loop starting from the south entrance and end up in French Glen to head north out thru diamond to the Pete French round barn and diamond craters and back to burns/hines Saturday the 29th. If anyone is interested in heading out there for a couple days of playing around hit me up we will be in my wife’s 1970 fj55. Should have a buddy in a taco tagging along also. Last minute decision but figured I would post if anyone else wants to go for a little exploring.

We are going to do this trip then head down to cruiser fest couple weeks afterwards. The goal is to get a group together and go do it regularly/annually. Just have to find the right time of year that works. There’s always something going on but will see what works best
