Just got done with both valve cover seal replacement and valley plate gasket (@J2HundyOutfitters) replacement.

Started the GX up and I get 'camshaft postion actuator circuit/Open' on both banks.
P0010 P0013 P0020 P0023

I replaceed all the seals on the inside of the covers and put everything back together.

How the hell do I get all 4 cam position faults?

not a chance they all went at once, something else has occurred....

Did you unhook the battery during the process? Might need to check fuses.
I did disconnect the battery before all the work.
I also, on this suggestion, checked all the fuses and found nothing wrong.

This problem has still plaqued me. still trying to troubleshoot.

Well, here's a follow up.

-2. Owner bought and drove the GX from Denver out to Western Slope. Owner complained that the acceleration from a stop was not satisfactory for such a vehicle.

-1. when I disconnected the harness for the valley plate R&R and valve covers seal leaking, I noticed that the intake/exhaust VVT oiling control circuit on the passenger side were swapped. (this looks really hard to do considering that the wiring is length appropriate for the two circuits.)

0. sometime in the process and when the plenum and valve covers were off, I reconnected the neg batt and cycled through a couple things.

1. While putting everything back together I put the correct wiring on for the oil control circuit.

2. Refer to 0., after much diagnosis and troubling shooting because of the P0010 etc errors, I swapped out the relays in the VVT system with the dome relay. I
think a RELAY found itself in the STUCK open position which caused the circuit to be dead. (I referred to the wiring diagram to find the path.)

3. (I also used Carista for trouble codes and then used Tech stream for a better analysis understanding about the VVT system.). Carista stills gives the codes but I'm not trusting it now.

4. After swapping the relays and clearing the codes the problem WENT AWAY. No more P0010 P0013 P0020 P0023. Validated with Tech stream.

5. Test drive today was successful for no codes and great acceleration from a dead stop.

6. Drink a beer, you're done!!

Congrats! My personal worst nightmare are electrical issues and codes. After ALL that, you deserve more than a beer, I'd say a huge steak dinner with that beer! (albeit, I'm sure others on this forum would opt for you to have something a little stiffer...)
