^^ Sounds like you need to find some unemployed cruiserhead and bribe him to come up and work on Orange with tales of puppies and non-city scenery. :p

My driveshafts are pretty. :) Bring along that wackjob sidekick of yours with the fetish to dump his dessert all over his crotch with you and we'll call in the clowns and have an Orange themed fiesta.

OLE!

Today I'll find out if the blind OOP inspector I have a lead on will be willing to inspect Orange at night in a snow storm... although I'm about half way through the repairs needed after the preinspection by a mechanic here in town. Wish me luck!

:flamingo:

How did your inspection go? :wrench:

All you guys that are planning on doing a Deadhorse trip after the trek please keep me in mind. I would like to join you guys if possible with work, even though I have driven this before. Would make for a nice shakedown trip for when I get done with the project. Also, if anyone needs a place to stay in Anchorage for a night or two we got lots of room.

Progress! I think we have have the clearance covered...how we get in it...I guess that's next weekends project. LOL!

Plenty of uptravel now I think. :)

Well... Archie will have more fun in it. :) We'll still have some smaller and shorter rigs in the mix so trail selection will have to be made with that in mind. :)

What do you have for a lift on that thing. I keep thinking either your short :flipoff2: or that thing is massive. Not sure you have to worry about water intrusions... :grinpimp:

The photo is of Luis Caraballo and his '76 Toyette. (that's my description of a Toyota with a Corvette engine:lol:) I'll let him tell you what all he's done to raise it up Alaskan style. For sake of comparison Luis is a big guy! A really big guy...all heart and help to anyone in need. The type of friend everyone needs. I've chosen to co-pilot this trek since it is a repeat for me and I know how exciting it will be for Luis to take his own vehicle...especially all the way from Florida:bounce2:! He is really enjoying the get ready. Oh, I almost forgot...Luis stands about 162.26cm!

I'm thinkin you may need a step stool to get into that beast, I know I would.

So the breakover on that beast is around 36 inches (91cm's) give or take. WOW!! I am going to feel inadequate up there :D Can't wait to see Luis and you Archie. I am loosing sleep every night pondering all the options

Breakover is right at 36"...step stool? I was thinking about an extension ladder! LOL Maybe one of those inflatable jacks...since Luis has on board air it could lift me up and down like an elevator! I feel one or two hip replacements coming on. Roger how is your new hardware doing you?

See if you can find one of those rescue winches like they attach to the side of the helicopters... wear a harness when you are on the trail and hoist yourself into the rig instead of climbing. :)

Or alternately, you could just use one of the shorter rigs for a stepping stool (maybe I'll volunteer..)

. Roger how is your new hardware doing you?
I got the high flex model and it is working great, better that the Oem one in the other side, just 2 more days of physical thearpy left. I am back in the shop 6-8 hrs. a day.

I heard that Old Man Emu is gonna be making knees and hips soon. Light, Medium and Heavy. 2.5 inches of lift too. ;)

Man, you're mean. Said whackjob sidekick is unable to operate my winch for ACT now, but expressed an interest in spending a weekend in FSJ helping with Orange. I believe he also volunteered his truck to pilfer parts off of. :)

Now THAT will be a blast. :bounce::bounce2::steer::clap::flamingo:

When is said whackjob available? I will be in the garagemahal all weekend (bought tix to a concert Sun. night). I have the 'freeze your ass off' overnighter next Sat. to survive but then will be in the free and clear...

Let me know if he'll want me to get him a flight home. Thx.

So.... all y'all ready to go, or what?? :)
