Aisan SD40 blue plate question

Not mentioned in this thread over time is that @andybudge has since made the glass window, and it is very nice.

If I can source a sample ( blue) I'll look into it. As I have previously mentioned; the plate reproduction isn't difficult, the petrol resistant color and same style font is!

I thought I would start in the 25 section first, since most SD40's would be over here. I am checking on having the Aisan Large Window "Blue Plate" remanufactured. I have several SD40's but I do not have one Blue or Grey Plate.

Is anyone willing to LOAN, SELL or TRADE a Blue or Grey Plate so I can start the process. Maybe the question should be asked if this has been tried before. I searched and only found talk about it.

Anyone interested in some Blue or Grey Plates for your SD40's If this works out?
