I thought about that, I am assuming that's only past a certain vacuum? I.e. the carb cant tell where it's getting the vacuum from, its only sensitive to the total amount of vacuum?

I ran up to 13,000 ft this week from sea level. I’m Desmogged, so when I get to 4000 ft the truck will low idle to let me know that it’s at “altitude”. I’ve got my timing at at 10* initial with a recurve JimC distributor.

I reset the idle, and combined the vacuum pods on the distributor with a tee.

It ran great. When I came back down helped 4000, I repeated the process in reverse. 5 mins each time.

I’m going to see if I can get audible knock under load at sea level on 93 back home. It liked the advance.
