Have to replace the air manifold on my 2/79 FJ40 (original underhood). Bought one courtesy of a fellow cruiserhead from this forum at a nice price but it came from a 78 or earlier. Comparing the two, the only difference is the extension for the check valve which comes of the main rail. It is about 1.5 shorter than the one on the original air manifold. Before I mount it or call James at cruiserparts.net, does anybody know of any reasons why this would not work? All I can figure is that the airfilter housing is different any won't allow clearance for the check valve below the air intake/housing.
Any input, as always, is appreciated...
Cheers, and Keep on Cruising!
