Im chasing a vacuum leak and yanked the air box plastic and this joint oped up.... Now I can't get the box back on the air intake dammit
Yes & Yes- I managed to JB weld the thing to get back running- now looking for a used one.... I need a beerLooks like it was never supposed to separate. Is the duct tape your work or prior job?
Was thinking delete as well- But this runs to the resonator box- which without would cause wierd vibrations and possibly add to engine over temping or something.....Don’t know much about the 100’s but what plugs into the bung(s) on that contraption? PCV? Seems kind of deletable unless they are trying to monitor non-moving air for some reason. Quite a complicated intake lol.
Oh and cheers![]()
Aftermarket what, air intake? I'll look into itEh. The aftermarket ones do away with all those chambers. I’m sure it would be just fine to delete if you could.
K&N for the Tundra, the all silicone ones on eBay suck.Aftermarket what, air intake? I'll look into it
Yep! The big baffle/air chamber cracked on my original 100 series intake pipe. I replaced it with a 4.7L Tundra/Sequoia intake pipe. I installed this over 4 years ago, but do remember needing to extend the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line and the power steering vacuum switch lines needed repositioned.I believe @87warrior is successfully running a Tundra version which are both easier to find used and less expensive
