Calling all CLC tent people. 2 questions:
1. Anybody got pictures of ya'll's AC duct work modifications. I want to take a couple of good pictures to the heat n air shop here in town to demonstrate what I'm trying to do. Basically, I have an enclosed trailer w/ side "vent" holes I can use, rather than cut out a 110 AC hole.
2. Is the return vent necessary or does it make a difference? I feel like that's probably a retorical question, but surely ya'll tried it both ways.
looking forward to the Oct. event

Just get a rooftop air unit. They are like $450 new and the one we put on the Crawler Hauler got the temp down to like 58 at the Ramble!!!

Really? No pictures?

David, ur rite, roof AC would be the best option, but it's approx. $1000 for the turn key install at local RV shops. I was figuring the 110 window unit system to come in under $250. But alas . . . no pictures from the CLC tent campers. I'll just have to 'wing-it'.

thx 4 the pic of the AC setups. that one pic has the two output "angles" of concern, good feedback for fabrications. I'm still guessing it's best to do the return routing . . .
Hope that Bronco is rolling free...
thax again for ur help w/ an example pict

so what are those? just regular small window units?

I camped in an RV this past weekend... 100+ degree weather ain't camping weather.

Also looking for a cheap honda/chonda generator as well, so an A/C and heater would be great for camping

Yep $100 5000BTU ac units with metal ducts on the front.

They work awesomely.

the hondas running them? or what?
Wonder if dual batts would... I got a 1500 watt inverter but no source of all night powa

Dude, you can't be that big of a moron...

I meant, LOL, yeah that's it! man you shoulda seen ya'lls faces...

It was a joke. Jeebus. I only have one battery.

You need the return air for sure.

one of the bayou state boys had a sweet set up in his 80. he replaced one of the rear slides with a pane that would house the lines (feed and return). the unit he had was about 12x12x12 and had heat and air.

Maybe Larry (volunteer) will chime in and let us know who he is and what he did...
