The noise in the compressor has been slowly getting noisier and appears to be the bearings.
I don’t want to get the compressor rebuilt locally due to their quality of the technical work.
Looking to get a new compressor.
Vehicle information is: 1993 PZJ75 (Chassis # PZJ75-0007086).
I have searched TOYODIY which lists the PN : 8832060560.
This part fits (91-??) FJ, FZJ, HJ, HZJ, KZL and LJ.
Sourced the part on Amayama $699 + $56 shipping to the US and PartsSouq $685 + ?? Shipping to the US.
I have searched on EBay for a compressor at a variety of prices.
Does anyone have a source at a decent price for this part in the US so I can ship to my Florida address ??

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

It’s your clutch. Way cheaper!
To test your recommendation I operated the A/C and while the noises are present the clutch does not appear to be slipping, clicking or smoking if the problem were the clutch.
The noise is a growling as you would expect when bearing(s) is/are worn and going bad.
Even though it’s hot during the day we are getting a good breeze so I drive with the A/C off and the windows down until I can resolve the problem with the compressor.
Luckily the compressor is at the top off the engine providing better access when I need to replace it.

Onur's right check the clutch.
Pumps can EASILY be rebuilt. In Tucson
does good work. They also make lines, adapters etc etc.
IF I had the truck in the US this would be an easy task…, but I am in a rural part of the Philippines where the locals cobble things together and the quality of work is very suspect unless you find a reputable shop. I would rather not drive several hours thru heavy local TRAFFIC trying to find dependable shop.
For me it is easier to purchase a new compressor, have it shipped to the US and during my next trip to the PI; I will swap out the compressor. I will just deal with driving with the windows down.
I found a shop that supplies me with refills for 5.5 lbs of R134a, I have gauges and a vacuum pump so I should be set.
A year or so back the transfercase gave up the ghost and the locals wanted to attempt to find a used transfercase. Good luck with that. Beno was able to determine the proper part number for the transfercase and I purchased one online from the UAE. Even with the import duties and shipping I only spent 45% of what the local Toyota dealer wanted thru their Parts Dept.
Very much appreciate the assistance Beno, CruiserTeq and others provide to the forum members.

Do any of our Forum Vendors sell this compressor new in the US before I attempt to order one from Japan or UAE ?

I'm surprised that the part number illuminati here aren't aware of a Denso part number or equivalent. When I had this issue with my FJ60, there was a Denso number that worked. @CharlesHS maybe try searching the Denso site directly?

I put in a 1995 Land Cruiser in their site and this is what came up:

No idea if this would fit your application but might be a place to start....
