Ok, I just swapped my globes in my '99 LX. First time replaced and I've found that when driving at elevation, the suspension would drop to low until I dropped back down.
I removed the pressure, swapped the globes, bled twice, and unwound the torsion bars like 6 times (counter-clockwise). I can't get the pressures down and they're still 8.5 (front and rear) and the ride is SEVERELY hard and feels like it's broken. NOW, yes did purchase the aftermarket globes which could be the issue, but I want to investigate everything else before giving up on them. Thoughts?!?

You need to crank up the torsion bars (clockwise for more spring force) to lower the AHC system pressure.
Correct.
Cranking the torsions up (clockwise)
Raises the effective spring rate of the torsion. Lowering the pressures (the amount of work) the AHC shocks have to do.

The AHC system is a helper to the torsions and rear springs.
The springs/torsions do most of the work. (But not all)

For other people not OP.
If the pressures are to low that's a good sign your springs/torsions are to much and probably making your truck ride like crap. (too stiff)

Should I be reading the pressures with the AHC Temp sensor unplugged? Not seeing this widely broadcasted when reading pressures.

Sorry, what's OP?:

Yes.
If you haven't already found this, it comes in handy.

Ok, here's where I sit after unplugging the AHC temp sensor and adjusting the torsion bars:
  • Front Pressure: 7.0 (+0.1 from standard 6.9)
  • Rear Pressure: 7.6 (+1.5 from standard 6.1)
  • Front-Left Height Sensor: -1.8
  • Front-Right Height Sensor: 2.0
  • Rear Height Sensor: -1.0
  • Bottle gradation change (L-H): 4-5 ticks (LOW)
Notes:

  • Sensors seem to be hard to pin-point the dead zero. I adjusted with the wheels turned and noticed that when you straightened them out, the heights change.
  • Rear Pressure could be resolved with new springs (it's a '99, so expected to be a bit saggy [insert joke here]).
  • The ride is still harsh!

I swapped back to my old globes and now back to my expected ride. Perhaps the new globes were bad?

Didn't see you mention it, but did you purchase new OEM globes or aftermarket?

Yeah, mentioned it at the top, but they are aftermarket. Thought I'd give it a try.
I have no idea what the cost is for aftermarket nitrogen globes for the 100 series Land Cruiser. I know that at the dealership, they’re close to $800 each.

If you need to replace your globes, you should read this thread. IMPEX is indeed legit !!!!!!

I did mine back in 2023, and including shipping and international monetary exchange, my cost was $528 delivered to my door by DHL.

Yep, I just did this like 1 week or two ago. Even with my dumbass making the declared value the same as the full price of parts which raises the amount of tariff they tack on it was STILL cheaper for all 4 shipped to me than a single one picked up here in the USA at a dealer.

Would you be willing to share the final price? and what you think it would have been if you declared differently??

From the Impex tread. Page 24.
Messed up and declared the the whole amount of the order. So $439.90.
And delivered.
2 weeks 6 days from when I started the order on the 23rd.
Globes ($439.90) +Shipping ($128.28) +Tariffs ($82.40) May have "declared" too much) = $650.58 Still cheaper than a single globe from here in the USA.
