Aftermarket manual AHC adjuster?

Are there any aftermarket AHC modules readily available in the USA that override the stock AHC programming so you can can raise and lower the vehicle as you desire?

If not, it doesn't seem very hard to be able to intercept the sensor signal and then be able to manipulate it (with a knob, for example) from the driver's seat.

Nothing that I know of in the US. Talk to MOT and he can get you what you want.

By looking at the sensor testing diagrams, it looks like you can intercept the signals with a simple opamp and then add or subtract voltage to trick the ahc receiver. The amount of voltage manipulation could be controlled by a potentiometer for infinitely adjustable ride height.

Lowering Example:
If the computer was expecting 2.25 volts for a normal ride height, we can add 2 volts using a potentiometer controlled opamp, and then the computer would lower the car by 1" to make the sensor read the expected 2.25 volts.

Raising Example:
If the computer was expecting 2.25 volts for a normal ride height, we can subtract 1.8 volts using a potentiometer controlled opamp, and then the computer would raise the car by 2" to make the sensor read the expected 2.25 volts.

If anybody has a source for the male and female height sensor connectors, a plug-and-play proof-of-concept prototype can be readily made for less than $30 worth of electronic parts.

That would be an interesting mod. I have never understood why you can't drive on low position at highway speeds. ¿Wouldn't that make it more stable?

I've seen adjusting units in Japan that allow one to adjust the front/rear independently in 10mm incrememts, regardless of vehicle speed.

My Audi adjusts lower either on demand or automatically, it would be of significant benefit to the Cruiser to do it, I'd say. I know that Cayenne's do as well, after 75mph or so.

Wonder if there's a way to deactivate the "speed governor" on the lowering (and raising ) so that its just on demand.

I've bought such a unit and sold/sent it to someone in the forum a year or two ago. I believe it did what it was designed for pretty well.

I've seen some on clearance, but still not a cheap mod/unit.

Thanks for reminding me (I feel like an old fart, requiring a constant reminder about things, especially on this forum. )

IIRC, a simple unit which enables you to toggle between two or more ride height settings goes for around $200US, give or take a few (some cost a lot more, but...)

Let me know if that hasn't turned you off. I can look into it a bit more.

Is there info available in english? (I've searched unsucsessfully)
What I would like to have is a unit where you can adjust the level for L, N and H individually, so that when I use the original height control button it will go to the level I have selected for each.
And then to be able to change the height on the fly, preferably with up/down button(s) that change the level with say 1/2" or 10mm for each push. That way I could have the "normal" height from say 2" down, to 2" up.
Also, if this unit would let the AHC work when the brake pedal is pressed as well, it would be good.

Will any of these units do all that?
Are they available from a reputable web-shop which does international shipping?

What I'm imagining is:
With 33" tires (2" larger than stock) I could for normal driving have the N setting 1 - 1.5 " lower, to preserve stability, and the L level 1" lower, while the H stays as normal.
Then for other driving conditions I can play around with the lift in N or H setting as required.

Let me see what I can do here...:

-For LC100 and Cygnus (LX470). Will work for all model years. With factory switch you can lock Hi-Lo allowing driving at high speed w/o losing TEMS.

-For LC100/Cygnus with TEMS. Allows you to select Hi/Low while driving.

-For LC100/Cygnus with TEMS. Heigh adjustment computer with memory. Select 12 different settings with 10mm incriment upto 60mm.

These pretty much sums up what they are/do.

Sounds like the last one might do kind of what you want, but the retail is about $500US. I've seen their cheaper version from the same company for about $200. But they might have stopped manufacturing them.

I'm sure you can get the other cheaper (relatively speaking here) ones still though.
