That makes it worth all the hard work we put into this event! I enjoyed showing these guys some southern hospitality. Thanks Markus for the kind words.

Hi folks

we are back in Germany and like to thank you for the great weekend and the much fun we had at the SCC thanks to the great people of the Cotton Land Cruisers.

Thank you Jeff, Greg, Chris and Debby, JRob, Lenny, Spivy and all the other guys for the wonderful time with you.

Thank you for sharing your rides with us and giving us that feeling to be a part of your TLC family, we enjoyed it very much… more than we can describe. It was an unforgettable experience for us.

Special thanks to

Greg for the very nice email correspondence

Chris for the warm welcome at our arrival and taking care for us as well as for giving us a seat in his FJ40

Jeff for the German beer, the awesome rides and for giving us the Iron Butt, it has a place of honor in our Land Cruiser glass cabinet and gave our butts the power to hold out the 11 hours back to Frankfurt.

JRob for the night-ride

Debby for showing us her great off road talent and what a Land Cruiser Station Waggon 80 is able to do

Spivy for the interesting talks and comments about nature

and

Lenny for being jealous on me for riding James big red 40. That means a lot to me.;)
Thanks also for making us to a point of your ‘who made it special’ list.

Very special thanks to our buddies James and Georg (‘George’) for making this time even more special for us taking us to the 5 diamond trails and even let me drive the trials. Thanks a lot James for your trust in me…. as well for the Paulaner.

Thanks to the USA for giving their residents the opportunity to have and use such fantastic off road parks like the Superlift ORC Park in Hot Springs, Toyota for building the best off road vehicles of the world, God for the warm and nice (dry) weather and your parents for making you so likeable and friendly people. We love you.

We hope to see you again, maybe in Germany?

Markus and Reinhold

For real guys it was so very awesome for ya'll to be here and share this time with us. I think i told you this while Spivey was talking about nature once one night, you could not have picked a better time to be in the US since this event is even our biggest event of the entire year at CottonLand. Ya'll are now family! We expect to see you every year!

CottonLand German Cruiser Crawl? Heck yeah, I'm in.

Proud to call yall friends. Your attendance was a highlight for me. Glad you made it back safely.

Please start a thread and post up pics of your truck!

Cheers.

"Spivy for the interesting talks and comments about nature" Awesome.

We are proud to have CottonLand family members from many US states AND GERMANY!!

49 weeks to plan for the CottonLand Cruisers Southern Cruiser Crawl 2011.

OK Spivey, what did you say?

Thank you, Markus and Reinhold, for coming to our event!

It is truly the people that make a one of a kind event.

This year is especially unique because our brothers from Germany attended.

You guys will always have an open invitation to our rides! We want you guys to keep in contact with us.

Let us know the next time you guys are in the US and we will let you know when we are in Germany.

I am sure he will not remember his nature talks...

I wasn't drunk.. i remember.... There were alot of pauses, closed mouth burps, and staring into space.... and alot of use of the color green... I think there was talk of suppliments too.

Don't take Spivey for a ride. He is a real nice guy, we liked him.

He made real funny comments during a ride with Debby on the Can Opener. My father and I have been in the rear off the 80 waggon.:)

The sunroof and most windows were open, as insects fall trough the sunroof first on Spivey, minutes later on Debby and at last a walking stick on my shoulder. I've never seen such an strange insect before.......panik.

Last of all somethink hit the hood. Spivey made on all of this very funny comments. So funny that Debby stopped driving because of laughing so much. It was really funny...things like the squirrels are throwing after us... get out. Thank you Spivey for that trial-upgrade.

Spivey you have German Allies!!

Awesome! We all like to joke around so this is all in good fun.

I heard the " squirrels are angry trail ride" was hilarious!

Thanks

I know this event is long over; however, I joined the forum from the blue FJ Cruiser forum to say thanks for the fun weekend and making sure everyone had a great time.

The food was delicous and the beer was cold.

I wish Sicily was not so far away

x2 on what chris said. We would love to see some more fj cruisers wheelin'

We dicided to go not further north and drove southwest on highway 70 and 278 to Milwood Lake. There is also a wonderful State Park, but no mountains. In the morning we had some rain and a light thunderstorm and traveled back to the Dallas area earlier than planned to do the last points of our shopping list.
They had some rain too, but sun came back at noon.

The last two days we spent at Lavon Lake near Wylie at East Fork Park (COE). A real nice park at the lakefront with a fantastic view.

Texas said goodbye with blue sky, sun and warm temperatures

Germany welcomes us with rain, fog and cold temperatures
What have we done? :frown:

We shoud have stayed definetely.;)

How was your trip?

That's the truth!

Went to Germany last year for a week to visit my brother stationed over there. First day was sunshine... and then came the gloom...

I think the plane ride there was the worst part of the trip, though...

Glad you made it back safely

For the win....
