Went out yesterday to explore an area I had not been out to in a long time. Turns out most of it is closed off to the public nowadays. Anyways, still found some cool stuff and had a good time. Was also the first time my friend took his new to him Jeepster out in the dirt. All in all a good day. About a 200 mile round trip for me.

Great photos again--thanks for sharing.

Hard to believe miners would put so much time and money into something and then later abandon it.

Guess the ore petered-out or wasn't as rich, once the vein ended. You would hope they explored further to make certain they didn't ignore surrounding potential strikes.

Without giving away your exploration locales, it would be nice to know roughly which part of Arizona you're investigating. Most of us wish this type of adventure were closer to where we live.

Went on a 225 mile round trip SE of Phoenix to check out some old mining relics. We found a 1924-25 V63 Cadillac carcass and alot of other old mining equipment. Some buildings too.
