Happy Holidays to all!

I haven't asked for help from the group for some time, but I have run out of options.

I used aeroshell 17 in my birfs a couple years back and have almost run out of it. I haven't been able to find any as it has been discontinued and replaced with aeroshell 33MS which is not compatible with 17 (the base is clay I believe). I can't find anything compatible to add my birfs and really don't want to go in there and redo the front end at this point.

Can anyone suggest a compatible moly grease?

Does anyone have a few tubes of aeroshell 17 they would sell?

Does anyone know where I can order some?

Thanks in advance!

I have looked at several moly grease tech data sheets. None are compatible with aeroshell 17. I know that a couple long time 80 owners used the same grease (yes, it is aviation grease). It is good stuff.

I would use CAT if I could. Looking at the application specs for aeroshell, I am guessing it is easy to "flush" a bearing or line and put in the new stuff. Compatibility is not an issue. Should have used something a little less exotic I guess. I will know better next time!

Contact Raventai. He might have some left over from his Delta days.

Good idea! That's who I got the idea from originally. Should have known he had an aviation connection. Thanks Onur!

It's definitely worth a shot. Looks like the Schaeffer stuff may work. I will call them as well! Thanks!

Oops. Missed part of your question. I packed the trunnion bearings and all my wheel bearings with synthetic bearing grease. It seemed strange to do that when you realize the moly will mix with the grease in the trunnions, but who am I to argue with mr. Toyota?? :)
