Need some advice from those who have more experience with this crap. I have an ATlas ll tcase and the advanced adapter mating it to a t-350 trans setup. The thing is pouring fluid out between the t-case and the adapter again and again. Advanced adapter said to use silicone as a gasket but it is not holding at all.

Can anyone give me advice as to what steps and products to use to seal this thing once and for all.

The garage floor and I thank you!

Right Stuff sealant. It's about $30 a can and never comes off your fingers but it seals like a mofo and comes in a handy Cheezewhiz dispenser.

Goebs, is the fluid pink'ish tranny fluid or brown'ish T.C. oil??? Is tranny fluid spilling into the T.C.???

Red fluid only. And the adpapter is where the cross brace is mounted below and has the anchor bolts threaded in to it.

Does that make any sense?

It has been fine for the longest time but then all of a sudden loosened up and started to leak ever since that. Been removed and sealed twice with no luck after heating up.

Is there a seal or something that could be shot on the back of the trans? Seems like fluid shouldn't be here in the first place right?

Every AT I know of has a seal at the output shaft. My Toyota A340F does along with a seal on the t-case input which uses gear oil.

Most Automatics do not have a seal on the output shaft. The seal is on the tcase side.

I'll second the "Right Stuff" reccomendation.

So if I am reading correctly, there should be trans fluid in the adapter and the gasket material should solve the leak if applied correctly? And the t-case can't be leaking cause I am only getting the lovely pink juice out of the adapter spacer plate? Sounds like something I can tackle if this is correct.

Thanks for all the input!

When you re-seal it, take it apart first, make sure everything is oil free before you use the sealant on it. Bolt it up, but dont tighten it all the way tight, just snug. Let it set overnight, then tighten eveything up and put the fluid in. Makes a difference on the hard to seal ones.

In addition to what was suggested above:

Make sure the threaded holes in the aluminum transmission housing are not damaged. If they are, they will need to be repaired.

Well, I can't say I've seen a lot of ATs, so I defer to you.

But I do know the A340F has one on the output into an empty tailhousing where the coupler to the T-case sits.
