Refresh my memory and help inform others: What parts is it useful to tap for additional sensors, where is the best place to tap, what sensor do we want, what do we plug the hole with when not in use? Also, how big an issue is head loss through the new hole when the part is ceramic-coated, and will ceramic coating screw the sensor by focusing more heat in the ported spot? Is it practical to wire these into something like a ScanGauge, or is bypassing the factory sensor wiring an inadvisable PITA? Some of these options are for use with s/c or t/c.

What I've seen and recall...

*NPT port on exhaust manifold(s) for the EGT sensor...

*Wideband bung (Bosch threaded) welded to the Y-Pipe for monitoring AFR...

*Do we get a true tranny temp with the factory sensor location?

*How about oil?

*Some kind of sensor somewhere (forget where) to get true circulating water temp. UPDATE: found this one here courtesy @CHDAZ80:

In fact, now that I roll through it, that thread discusses a lot of this...
