Can anybody give me a little electrical advice on adding a new fuse block for some accessories. I want to add a few circuits for 12v sockets / USB in the back, strip lights, maybe a couple other things. Eventually I want this on an aux battery system but given the current Covid crazzy-ness, I'm looking to skip the cost of a second battery system for the time being and just tie the new fuse block into the existing battery.
Can anybody give me some advice on how to tie it in in a way that will allow me. to swap it over to a second battery system later? I was thinking of putting the whole new fuse block on a relay tied into an existing accessory circuit but not sure how to do that or if it's the best course of action. I was thinking that since the accessory is on a 1hr timer I would have a bit more protection than wiring it direct or with a master switch. Can I just find any hot wire with the accessory switched on and tap into that for the relay to activate the new fuse block?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. New to off roading. Thanks!
