Ferg the color is rustoleum satin black and it is a perfect match for the ARB bar. I would do it. I had something similar on my old 60 and I loved that one little thing :)

Ah! Now I remember where I saw it way back when! I've been rackin' my brain trying to remember where I saw something like that a looong time ago. And it was your front bar on your HJ60! That's a bar made for a Rangie isn't it? Did you add the top bar, or did they come like that?

Lookin' good! Thanks for the great pics! I like how you angled it back a bit. Any pointers or suggestions on it?

Is this where you're antenna mount was or did you move it? That's where I was plannin' on movin' mine when I add the bar.

that is the stock arb antena mount that came on mine. I had the antenna there for a short time and it drove me crazy, looking throught it. So it moved first to the roof rack... 2 antennas later I added a mast to the top on my rear tire swing out to now houses both my antena and a rear reverse work light.
here is a decent shot of the set up

as far as how 'i setup my front top bar the tube is 1.75" and the angle of the bends is 55degrees. My fabricator guy mike Fox has a cool computa program tthat you punch in the meassurements and it will punch out hte angles and the center points of where to stick it on the bender, pretty cool. I kept the page we printed out so if you want tommorow I could scan it and send it to you

I can't see that last pic of the rear antenna mount.... Anyway, ya, my antenna is on my fender right now. I don't think I'll be likin' it out in the front middle either. I doubt I'll even move it from where it's at. But, I'll move the mounts over anyways cause who knows, maybe I'll end up mounting some lights up there on 'em... :D

Oh and, here's my latest chop...using the bar from Jason's pic. I likey. I want mine a little smaller diameter of tubing than what he used and a little lower.

It was for a D90 I think, or maybe an old Series Rover. I got it for free from somone ages ago when I (hehem) had a Series III rover for a few months. It was actually a pretty sweet rig and (don't tell Carrie) but I think I got laid once cause of it :)

It was totally cosmetic though, and not worth a damn except for maybe moving "brush."

hopefully this link will work

I went alittle high with my bar to adjust for the body lift but only when you look at it head on does it look high, like the nofriender bar on "Mr. Jones" aka Andrea's hj60 ;p

I've thought of that for the 80, I think it would be pretty cool. Come on dude, you can't fool anyone into thinking you ever wheel by talking about saving your radiator in a roll. Everyone knows you're a poser and accepts the fact that it would look cool at the mall. :flipoff2:

Where you at jerky...?
