Addiction or Stupidity? 1964 traytop - project rusty

well, here's the story folks. on Saturday I went and picked up a 196? fj45. mostly stock apart from the 4 speed conversion. the old 1f runs like the clappers apart from it needing new water pump. starts up first plop.

the good:
the engine and drive train

the bad:
rusty and more rusty
needs new water pump and radiator and hoses
paint job - Friday night after a few too many beers lets go paint the cruiser sort of thing
fenders are munched

the plans:

the body is gone. and I mean gone. the problem is that I have a hj47 that is the current project so that will have to be finished first. which means that the 45 will sit for a bit.

so, when the 47 is on the road, the 45 can have some attention. I am thinking along the lines of a soft top 45 with the stock f engine and the swapped In 4 speed. the chassis has some rust in it so I think that I will have to get it blasted. I'm thinking yep, summer truck!

oh, got ya. yep that's the plan, to get rid of the rust filled panels as much as possible. they are beyond resurrection. the doors might be able to be fixed though...

okay so apparently it's a 68 model. so the rego papers say. the po sent me a letter saying that all I needed to do to get it registered is to fill out the attached form and pay my money...

u want me under a tree with a rope around my neck nah would love it but that 80 is too nice plus I would do it with a 47 body so I would have a factory tacho.... yep thought about it trust me..
