Check the parts for sale section of Toyota Trails. There is always somebody offering parts of them there. Ebay is good too. It's been 6 years but I bought my AA kit new from 4Wheel Parts Wholesalers for $450-ish, inlcuding freight. It was something like $850 at the time.

Lakewood Scatter Sheild
I AM NOT TOO CONFIDENT WITH THE ALUMINUM BELLHOUSEING THAT THEY SELL WITH THE KITS SO I FOUND A USED LAKEWOOD SCATTERSHEILD FOR A SMALL BLOCK CHEVY FOR $130.00 ON EBAY. THEY COST ABOUT $300.00 BUCKS BRAND NEW. I FIGURED IF I WAS GONNA PAY BOOKOO BUCKS FOR AN ADAPTER IT WOULD BE STEEL. ANYWAYS FOR ME IT CAME OUT CHEAPER. HERE IS HOW IT WORKS. THE LAKE WOOD SCATTER SHEILD HAS THE CHEVY BOLT PATTERN(TRANNY) AND HOLE. THE TOYOTA 4SPDS HAS THE SAME(TRANNY) BOLT PATTERN FOR THE TOP TWO BUT THE BOTTOM TWO ARE NOT AND NEITHER IS THE HOLE. SO WHAT WE DID IS WE CUT THE FIGURE 8 PATTERN ON IT AND REDRILLED AND TAPPED THE HOLES ON THE BOTTOM TO MATCH. IN ORDER FOR THIS TO WORK YOU NEED THE SAFETY SHEILD THAT GOES WITH THE SCATTERSHEILD THAT GOES BETWEEN THE SCATTERSHEILD AND BLOCK FOR THE CORRECT SPACING. E-MAIL ME IF YOU WANT PICS.

Wish I had 300.00 right about now. Could go withthe 2F i guess........Naw. Just keep looking. Thanks for the replies though. The scattershield may be a possibility. Shouldn't take too long either. In that retrospect, whats stopping a guy from using a chevy bellhousing and just modifying it. Have plasmacutter and tig will travel. any opinions?
Trust Me Its Not Worth It Because The Chevy Bellhousings Do Not Have The Space For The Modifications And It Will Not Look Right And I Would Not Trust It. The Lakewood Scatter Sheild Has The Space For The Figure 8 You Need And You Will Not Have To Modify It Too Much It Will Look Like It Belongs There. Even If You Get A Metal Chevy Bell Housing It Does Not Have A Bottom Part To It So When You Make It Fit You Will Have The Bottom Half Of The Figure 8 Showing And If Anything Will Weaken It.
