OK, so I found the thread that discuss this, but a few questions first.

(I was driving and did a u turn. The air got warmer after 10 seconds. I noticed the light flashing. I stopped and shut off the truck. Turned it back on and the light was gone and the AC was working fine. Reboot!)

The videos on youtube show the second gen GX460 displaying numbers. I have the first Gen (2010). How do I get the numbers for the errors? Nothing showed up on my screen. (Do they show up on OBD?)
Do the numbers tell me exactly what is wrong? (low refriderant? Bad clutch?)

If I can get no numbers, Do I worry about it? or maybe get the refrigerant checked?

Any tips?

Hold down the AUTO and RECIRC button while turning the car on into accessory mode. No need to start vehicle.

Just to document this, I did the above (I reread the thread and missed the specifics of the test. Idiot).

Since I shut off the truck and turned it back on, it must have cleared the "code". I get a 00. So next time it happens I will be ready. Also, I used an OBD scanner and found no codes, although i used a basic scanner (can't find my dongle for my iphone). We will see if it happens again.

Thanks for the help.

I assume you mean pressing the AUTO and RECIRC buttons from the front center console, not the rear?
