I admit, i think it's money well spent.

Went I broke my A/C line last summer, I repaired it with a stock line, but bent them up. I used a Tundra dryer, cut the tab on the bottom of the stock bracket and flipped the bracket upside down. Now my dryer is above the frame, out of harm's way. Total cost, about $50 including the dryer and pipe.

your AC dryer can not hang upside down! It has to stay vertical so the oil can flow correctly through it. Might want to rethink flipping it.

EDIT: ok, so re-reading your post makes me think you flipped the bracket not the AC dryer. Sorry.

I thought the same thing as well. :p

Can you post a picture of the final result? I have a Tundra dryer coming and I need to redo my A/C soon, so I'd like to do this at the same time.

Bend your own tubes for a 1/4 of the price and be done with it....

;)

I thought the same thing but, the expense of having a kit all ready to go is way worth the time it would take for me to hassle fabbing it up myself! Although, I do still have my kit sitting on my bench I know it's there when I get around to it! Time is a premium for me, I just don't get the garage time I would like.

Side note for those considering this kit: Mot is a super cool guy to deal with and I got my kit in less than a week! I would highly recommend!

I've emailed Mot numerous times with no response...would love to buy a kit. :)

Chris

Wow! I am really surprised aside from the obvious time difference he is usually very quick to reply. Albeit somewhat sarcastic but I am too! Good Luck! Try sending him a PM...

I bought a mini truck (or maybe it was Tacoma) dryer from Dan, it's not as long as the Cruiser one. Then I tweaked the lines a little to push it 1 inch further up. I shortened the mounting bracket and reinstalled. Overall, IIRC mine is around 3 inches further up and completely protected by my bumper.

IIRC it cost me about 30 bones for the dryer and I paid the shop to evacuate my system and refill it when I was done.

ravencr, did you order the kit from mot? I've been needing to do this for about a year now and just haven't gotten around to it.

Hey Jesse,

He's out of stock, so he's checking on availability and cost. Hit him up at the same time, and it may be a little cheaper possibly.

Yeah, I'll let you know what I find out from the manufacturer.

The owner is a really nice guy and I would love to give him more business if/by ordering more than one kit at a time!

Thanks for your interest guys!

I am interested too, am in Australia though. We got the dryer in the front position too :(

How straight forward is it? and what's it like changing globes, mine blow all the time!

Had this pic on hand, I would be interested in getting the dryer out of the way as well. Does anyone know the implications of moving the dryer up higher? My question is would it impede on the efficiency of the system at all, or much? I wonder if Mr. T lowered it on the US/later models for a reason, just putting it out there:doh:
