AC amplifier issue

Hi just picking up on this old thread
My touch screen has gone blank any ideas ?
I have a Bluetooth adaptor plugged into a cigarette lighter on dash. It's been in for nearly a year no problems. I've unplugged it so see if my screen fires back uo . NO
im a bit of a novice but I'd like to fix it myself
But as you guys say without it you can't control the heating nor use the Map
It's a 2004 100 series here on the UK

I'm new to the forum. Just picked up an 04 with the "check ac connection" issue. Is there troubleshooting I could do to narrow the issue down to the MFD, the AC amplifier, or the gateway ECU? Otherwise I may just end up ordering parts on eBay to throw at it and see what sticks. P.S. I already did the pin 60 re-solder with no effect.

When I had that issue, my mechanic swapped out working versions of those parts until it fixed the issue. The gateway ecu was faulty in my case.
