Abs pump/module rebuild???

Can anyone point me to a thread on why the 80s abs module is not rebuildable? Did the googleness but didnt see anything. Thanks.

If i had to guess, I'd say that Toyota doesn't sell rebuild parts for the ABS module because they don't consider it as a dealership rebuildable part. They only sell it as a complete assembly.

You’d have to destroy it just to open it up. Everything is press fit and calibrated at the factory, not something that can just be rebuilt on a bench.

I think the thought process was that with everything machined and calibrated to such tight tolerances that it would essentially never need to be rebuilt during the expected lifetime of the vehicle.
