-Recently after about 1000 mile trip on the way home the ABS alarm went off. And again this week while driving locally.
-Now the ABS VSC and Brake lights are lit.
-She's Parked in the Driveway.

Got out the Techstream and pulled the codes.

Sounds like time for an order to Serra Toyota for a new master Cylinder. (15% off right now)

Cylinder Assembly Brake Master With Fluid
Part Number: 47050-60043

Not sure on the c1340... I'll track that down later.

Yes, sounds like time for a new master assembly. Order the Toyota fluid while you are at it.

Is your brake fluid level low? Be sure to follow the procedure to properly check. I think it’s on the cap, also detailed out in the forum but it’s something like turn off car and press pedal about 40x.

Quick look through FSM attached.
My thoughts are best case you’ve got low fluid level or a sensor issue.
Also is the audible alarm on at this point?

Fluid is not low.

Ran through the check, pumped it 40 times, timed the motor run it was under 40 seconds.

The alarm comes on every once in a while. Not constant.

The Light used to come a go, but now are on steady now.

Fwiw I had a similar issue last year. I flushed the fluid and the issue hasn’t come back yet knock on wood.

I’m planning more frequent flushes just to be safe.

same thing happened to me last winter, so i flushed it with Prestone DOT 3, even though my last flush was less than 3 years before that so fluid was ok, however, about 2 days later everything went back to normal .. 2003 86k miles
