Ok....let me be clear that I suck at wiring

Now, I went from the auto a340h to manual r150f
and I want to know how to wire up my reverse lights
And which wires I need to jump to fool the neutral safty swich

I pulled the module off the side of the auto, put it in "park" position
And that works.....but id like to ditch that & just jump the wires

Anyone know which wires to jump?
anyone know which wires I tie into the the manual tranny to have reverse lights

Thanks for reading & any help will be appreciated

Looks like the backup lights on the auto are getting power from the neutral safety switch. So you'll need power from the Red wire going into your back up switch and the Red/Blue goes to the actual lights. To fool it into thinking it's in Neutral, you need power from the Red wire going to the Red/White wire. (assuming we're talking about your 88/89...)

Yes. My 88 4runner

I almost PM'd you to ask

Like I said I suck at this
I know you just explained it

But...the red wire goes from the N/S switch to my manual trans plug & red/blue comes out of plug to lights?

And same red wire from N/S switch to red/white also on the N/ S switch?

Just makin sure. I am wiring challenged

Ok. I got it....
I will be doing this today.

Thanks for the help & explaining it twice!

Ok. So it went nothing like that

9 wires in that N/S plug and not a solid red one in the bunch

Here's how it went...
Black with yellow stripe and blue with yellow stripe are hot with key on
Red with white stripe goes to reverse lights. I put that with the black w/yellow stripe to my trans switch & I have reverse lights that work as they should
Black with white stripe, solid black, & blue with yellow stripe all have to go together to fool the computer into thinking its in park

What a bitch, took me bout 2 hours to sort it out
All my wire diagrams in the FSM stated what you had said, Jerod......not the case....
Don't ask me why.....
just glad its done & works
I hate.not having all my lights working properly

I appreciate the help, none the less, was just a big PITA

But now its done, so its whatever.....
