With more appreciation than I can muster to Bull, the Troopy has officially landed in Upper Michigan and is enjoying "Lake Life".

There will certainly be many, many pics of our adventures. Can't wait to put the boat up top and chase some hard to get to fishing holes.

Rodney, you are THE MAN!

A few pics. First touch from WA to MI, and the water front parking.

Shipper was AWESOME too by the way. $1200 from WA to the U.P.
I'll post up about that experience in Mud Ship.

i heard about this a few weeks ago. sounds like the perfect deal: everybody happy!

congrats guys!

ps: tom, i'm working on a troopie for a customer in chicago right now. so your rig will have a brother not too far away.......

Um...Wow! I guess we're all alike here with our propensity to change rigs around....

So...will BOTH rigs be at the 45 Rally?

-H-

I just did the 43 hour drive from Dana Point, CA to Dana Lake, MI. I'm not sure I'll be doing it again any time soon!

I am still hoping to fly out to SNT though.

have you hooked up with ?Yooper yet? i spend the last 2 weeks of august in a little town just south of Traverse city but I map quested it and its like 7 hours or so from Yooper in Marquette. but it is good to see more kewl cruisers in the U.P.

No, but I do believe Sean and I will cross paths soon.

So, as you all know, this Troopy came from Bull. Went in to register it, and picked up a random plate. [ Yes, random state issue...I literally laughed out loud at the girl who picked it out. (had to tell her why) ].

I think the plate says it all, IMO.

Thanks again Rodney!

FWIW - just returned from a Yooper vacation and there was a very clean (still had Calif plates) '69ish FJ40 parked in Copper Harbor (looks like the truck hasn't moved much) and a early green FJ40 in Eagle River, both in the Keweenau. Nice to see more FJs in the UP. Just rustproof the heck out of it and park it inside all winter!

That's just too funny about the random plate.

So Bull, did you pull out the back seat for the kids?

Hey TJDIV looks like you couldn't wait for the Red troopy to go under the knife--but you have a really nice ride now. I guess either way you are a winner. Enjoy the new ride.
