A little help

Hey there everyone, im just looking for a little help regarding my 89 Hilux. I've owned it for over a year now and it is my daily driver. I have nothing bad to say about it but now I have to replace the ball joints and am also thinking about the shocks. Im having a hard time finding these parts so if anyone can help me out in rounding these parts down it would be appreciated.

Sorry guys I should have ben a little more specific. My unit is a stock surf with the 2LTE diesel in it. I Drive daily to and from the oil rig in it and the rough lease roads have taken their tole on my ball joins and my front driver side shock i noticed has some oil dripping down it. After talking to the garage I was told that unlike all the other body parts that are basically a crossover from a 4Runner, my ball joints are different. Any truth to this? I want to go with a set of Moog ball joints. If there is anything else out there that may be better please help me out. Im living in Canada where this unit was never available in the 2.4 diesel. There are other applications i would like to add also but those are coming after this rough ride is remedied.

Well if they are a different ball joint why wouldn't you still be able to find them at a local parts store seeing as there are plenty of diesels running around up in Canada? If not your only choice may be a dealership. One way to do it would be to call the dealership and give them your vin number and have them give you an exact part number (Canadian part number if it applies, sometimes they will be different) and take that part number to your local NAPA or whatever you have for a large parts supply chain and have them cross reference it with what they have to see if they carry a product for it. Otherwise, maybe a low mileage vehicle at a junkyard?

I wish it were that simple, but this vehicle was never offered through a dealership in Canada and the local dealership wants nothing to do with these vehicles. I was hopeing that someone from Canada would know of a distributor near by that may have them in stock and be able to ship them.
