Letting the panels cure for another weak before blocking. Looking good. Will need to fill in some 80 grit scratches.

Spent the weekend helping my younger son move his project forward on his go kart. Went to town with the plasma cutter. Waiting for the torque converter before we lock in final placement of drive train. Cut up miscellaneous metal for steering, brakes, seats, etc.

HF sandblaster is working well. Definitely recommend a light upgrade.

No activities this weekend. :princess: Day.

We were at it this weekend again. Good to get back and make some progress. Spent this weekend helping my youngest get his go kart to a milestone. A roller. We out in a torque converter, installed disc brake, set alignment of rear live axle and bolted her in. We also worked on the steering and got front wheels and spindles burnt in. 60 tooth rear sprocket is a little too close to the ground. Going to put in a 48 tooth. Whole lot faster. Yikes. Waiting on front tie rods to come in so we can connect them with heim joints. We also go the pedals mocked up.

All done. My son decided not to paint it so it stays in it pure mechanical state. Shows his work. A work in progress toward perfection.

Went at it again this weekend. Spent more time with my older son’s project. I challenged the young guy to build a headache bar to increase safety.

Mustang got to a milestone of 220 grit on first layer of primer surfacer.

Next will be 3 coats of primer surface and then 600grit. Then base clear. Going with candy apple Red.

Need suggestions on Home made Paint booth.

Go kart mods. Getting better at cutting, grinding, welding, fitting. He is getting there. Not yet at a stage to feel comfortable having them work unattended. They are getting close though. Safety, safety, safety.

A little bit of Cruiser stuff amidst my sons projects. Bought a 2H/4spd/xfer from @joekatana that was in a 40 in Europe. Air filter box, power steering pump, transmission cross member, frame and motor mounts, etc. came with the deal. It is going to get transplanted into my 40 which currently has a 2f. Joe is a class act. Great to work with. Fun shop full of 70 series goodies and more.

My sons helped get her home to the barn.

Great project! I would love to replace my 2F with an H variation when the time comes.

I love diesels!

Yea. I think it is a really great combination for the 40. I am looking forward to it right after the Pony.
