A couple pics for Joe...

Seeing this in person i have to say it is very well designed and stout. And with that I will let the designers follow up with any additional information they might have.

Teaser pic

Well I got the tire carrier painted and all ready (I did my usual crappy job), thought I'd share a teaser pic until I can get some better pictures in the light. Enjoy!

Update here instead of the other thread, safer here for now...

I got it finished, listened to the feedback and adapted some of it.

Yes, it will fit a 37, its adjustable 3" to fit 37-31's, allowing the tire to rest on the floor. One bolt mounts wheel to mount, making to its easier to mount & remove it from the vehicle without having to adjust the interior cargo.

I need to clean it up a bit before posting close-ups but here is the general idea of how it changed from Joe's prototype...

Thanks guys. I took some time to re-think things and like how this works. I'm finishing a round tube version this morning so I'll have two "working models".

I took the time to make some templates of the common pieces to see if it makes sense to have the pieces cut for me to save some time...

It's looking even more awesomer Jerry, very nice work! You're also getting some nice feedback on the main 80 board thread. :)

Holy fabrication skills. Did you bend the square tube yourself?

VERY nice Jerry. Quite slick. Might have to get one of these until we figure out the swing out for Emma's truck.

Eric, I would like to congratulate you on your impending receipt of the JD HITS. However, I can't and don't hold your breath waiting on this: now that I've seen it, you won't see it, unless you come to my house. O and I can't get to URE tomorrow, I have a sniffle and one of my dogs has an itch - yeah, that's it!
