97 LX450 key fob help

I got this key fob from PO but can’t get it working. I’ve read a few threads, confirmed the alarm box under drivers front seat, and security light on dash. Is this thing cooked, or any tricks people have had success with?

When you push the top button, does the LED illuminate?
If not, it's shot.

Yes good to go there. It just won’t program to the truck/be recognized at all.

Have you followed the programming process with the alarm box? The steps are not documented in the owners manual or the FSM. If you don't have them, I can dig out the PDF that I used to program my replacement. Let me know.

The rs3000 can only have 3 fobs programed. If you're trying to add another one, it won't recognize it.
You'll have to clear the memory and start again.

Let me give this a shot tomorrow. I did run through this when I bought the truck two years ago without luck but I’ll give it another shot.
