??? 97 front third member into a 87 front housing ???

Does anyone know if this a direct bolt in? Or could i install the whole front end into my 87 pickup?

I know that a third from a 97 won't go into an 87. Check out this site for the reasons:

’87 is a 7.5” low pinion diff and the ’97 is a 7.5” high pinion diff - so no, it won’t work.

Will not work for many reasons. Totally different diff.
