The window motors all slowed way down in the last several years so I replaced all 4 of them with rebuilt motors and I replaced all the rubber. The new rubber still seems stiff and is probably over-taxing the motors.... and the replacement motors suck! Two have died already with the windows stuck in the up position. I would have rather have hand-crank windows but I don't think that is a replacement option.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

As mentioned above, Aisin (the OEM manufacturer) regulators with motors are available new from RockAuto for the front doors. I though Toyota had actually discontinued them, but I may be wrong. The updated part bolts right in and works perfectly. After replacing the regulators and motors, along with runs, my windows are like a new car. I have a video somewhere, let me check my build thread.

Edit... Here you go. Link to my build thread post.

Curious if you actually took a pic to verify that the motors on the rock auto “aisin” are in fact made in Japan by DENSO like this one sourced from Toyota new.

Thanks for sharing! Any pic of the motor by chance?

If you order from Toyota, they're still made in Japan so not one in the same. I replaced all four windows with new Toyota regulators and motors from partsouq + local dealership (pic is mine). The premium looks to be close to 4x for the Japanese manufacture. Choose your own adventure.

85720-60011front left window motor
69802-60010front left regulator
85710-60011front right window motor
69801-60010front right regulator

Interesting, and good to know that in this case Aisin aftermarket is NOT the same as Toyota boxed. Must have just been out of stock when / where I was looking. I don't think I have a close up of the motors, but they are obviously not the same part as the original Toyota. I ASSumed an update to the parts, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Best pic I could find for a zoom. Some DPM numbers on there, but clearly not proudly marked like your Toyota parts, and definitely a different motor can...

FWIW, the Dorman motors have smaller (shorter and narrower) brushes. I would not think these motors could carry the same current, and thus would necessarily be weaker.

Problem solved! Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions. I got an OEM motor at a good price for the front window and I got the Aisin regulators with motor from RockAuto for the rear.... I used the recommended 3M Dry Silicone lube for the rubber and it is all up and running!!! Much appreciated, people!!!!!

According to AISIN, the motors are made in Taiwan. Not sure if they are the same motors as all the other aftermarket motors or not.

From an email I sent to AISIN:
Hi, I am looking into your window regulator RPAT035... can you please tell me the country of origin of the motor component? Is it directly manufactured by AISIN?

Hello, No, the assembly nor the motor are manufactured by AISIN. They are manufactured by a very reputable Taiwanese manufacturer. Thank you for supporting AISIN Products!
