Not my car but I did inspect it with intent to purchase. Just thought I'd share my findings.
1996 Toyota Land Cruiser fully loaded 3rd row seating
-no lockers
-Truck looks decently clean, but a few minor surface rust spots located on the hood, roof and tailgate
-Undercarriage is pretty rusty overall
-skid plate is loose and hanging due to rusted bolts
-needs entire new exhaust system since the current one has been patched to oblivion
-hood flew open during the test drive (!) because the seller neglected to mention the latch sticks. He forgot that himself apparently since he closed it
-all four tires are are dry rotted
-antenna mast and antenna are broken
- power seats move forward, but not back lol
-rear main seal leak (despite the seller claiming there are no leaks whatsoever)
-check engine light came on late in the test drive
-front two seat are worn and torn as expected
-new radiator
-new brakes
-head gasket was done around 155k if I remember correctly
I think that's it. Seller claims car is in great condition and nothing is wrong with it if you ask him. Oh and he tried to keep my $100 deposit because he said his time was valuable and I apparently cost him a cash buyer.
