Just to ask to give you a chance to add maint records - did timing chain job just stick to front of motor, or has yours seen a headgasket replacement too?

Did the guides just slip the plastic off the arms, or was this more a FR main seal/oil leak issue?

Asking since avatar looks like you are familiar to wrenches.

Service of the axle(?)

Clean looking motor - and my 40th did its' 1st ~250K in your state, then another 75K in CO - rust free like yours, and I own a lift here @ home, you TN guys have a great pocket to buy autos from.

Buyers - this 80 and a set of new leather for the FR row seats = happy wife/war dept., just my opinion.

Looks like one of the fairest deals for a 3X locker 80 - GL & free bump!

(Seller is complete stranger, in case anyone is suspicious.)

Thanks Linus!
I wish I was the one that had done the timing but it was done with the previous owner.
Price is likely to go up soon because I'm going through most of the truck fixing the normal things that people neglect.

Going through the lockers last night. Crazy how clean the undercarriage is on this 80.
I'll be going through the axles this week as well.
New idler pulleys, tune up and belts.

Unreal this is still here. (Keep getting notifications)

If it drives like it looks, those 285K weren't hard miles.

Yours is the great middle ground between $12K+ models with ~130-150K on them, and the ones that have been modded like crazy & run hard like people build them for use.

New leather, a winch & bumper, some 33's - done deal.

Bump for what seems the one I'd fly-n-buy if I didn't have a great pair now.

I haven't ever shipped a vehicle. I've flown to get a few but never shipped. I don't think I would ship this thing. . . I have too many people interested in it to go through that trouble.

285K is a lot for over $7K. Lockers are worth something but they can be added for less than 2K. I see a steady stream of high mile 80s from no-rust zones going for $5k or less. Granted this one is clean and appears to be a fair deal but until you've driven it, those miles raise flags at that price.

285 / 19 = 15K annual miles. Super normal. :meh:

I've done the locker conversion in my black 80 - finding all the parts rust-free now is not as cheap as 5 yrs ago, or a decade back. Some system parts are NLA now too.

True - 285K is more common, but a 135K, e-locked 80 isn't common or even affordable to most who are buying these cash/no loans.

I've got 365K (THAT's higher miles :D) -on my 40th - it drives as smooth as my 135K 80, and my 235K LX450 I sold awhile back. I agree it's case by case, but this one appears nicer than the average 285K 80 - Just my opinion & since I'm not threadcrapping I believe the seller isn't opposed to my comments or the moderators take any issue.

A real inspection takes all of an hr/1.5hrs for me - I'm not a contender as my yard & garage has my "daily 80" & my "coffin 80" - but if it wasn't so near Christmas I bet this would be gone. My opinion is this one is smarter $$$ / solid starting platform than any of the "steady stream $5K 80's" - but that's me.

I would be interested in this vehicle if I wasn't so far. I don't have one of those jobs that I could just pick up and go whenever I'd like. Nice vehicle though!
