Hey guy I ended up bartering for a rear set of lift blocks for my wife's 96 4runner. The blocks are 2.5 inch. What do you recommend I use for the front? I'm looking to keep the price low. The rig is her dd and will see the occasional trail, nothing that extreme. That's what my 40 is for. Any other info on additional parts I will need would be awesome. TIA guys.

lift blocks? Your 4runner doesn't use lift blocks. Are you talking about coil spacers?

Yeah that's what I meant. SPacers. Is the rule ofthumb on these to go half an inch more in the front? I do have a large bumper.

Spacers on an IFS should lift almost double the height of the spacer. The rear axle is 1:1. Regardless of the weight of the bumper, if it's mounted up presently, it shouldn't be a factor.

Look for a used set of Tundra coilovers- anything up to 06 will work- they changed them in 07-

Something else you may want to think about- ditch the rear sway bar, and also add some extended length shocks to the rear so you can get full flex.

True. I run T100 shocks on my Taco because they're about 4" longer extended, and a little over an inch longer compressed...and they're cheaper.

For front and rear?

If I wanted to keep my stock springs I would need 1 inch spacers up front then if my rear spacers give 2 inches of lift? Stock tundra shocks front and rear as well?

Just for the front. if your lifting the rear two inches they should allow you to be pretty level front to back. Theyre not overly expensive either. Check em out, also since your a fellow 4runner guy- toyota-4runner.org, is all runners, great place to go for specific info just for our rigs. Youll see alot of guys on there running that setup. I.E what Ive got for mine- tundra springs and billys for the front- lc 8 wraps w/ome shocks for the rear. Im going a full 3 inches so I also had to add a drop bracket. Best- part got the suspension parts for a 100 bucks lol.. spent like 30 on the panhard drop. So it can def. be done cheaply.
