i recently bought a 95 4runner and am currently in the process of replacing the filters, fluids, timing belt etc. i have the electronic version of the full shop manual, and this isnt the first shop manual ive had to use... albiet a 4runner is much different than a motorcycle or a helicopter, but i want to replace the fuel filter and im having a hard time finding one, in the manual or on the vehicle, other than the little square one thats on the fuel pump. am i missing something? im pretty positive when i did this task a year or so ago on my dads chevvy k3500 there was another more aggresive fuel filter further up the fuel line where the one on the fuel pump was just a catchall...

If it's a V6 it's going to be on the inside of the Passenger side frame rail between the tank, and the mount for the Torsion rod. Have fun with that one!!!! You can see it, but you can't touch it.... :D

If it's a 4 cylinder, it's on the passenger side of the engine block, and not that bad to change...

FYI, unless you have a rusty tank or something, the filter is probably fine, but I understand the want to baseline everything....
