With a majority of the maintenance done it was time to get our first trip in. We drove down to va to camp for a long weekend the 80 ran great and no issues.

Thanks, I am reluctant to use two sided tape there. Did you use screws? It looks perfect

I actually didn’t use either it has a snug fit to the cupholder so I just pressed it in and it’s fine. Plus if it gets dirty I can pull it out to clean it

Perfect! Thanks for answering my questions. I am doing a more basic PM/refeshing than you did on a '94. Fortunately, I have sen only one small spot of body rust. So, I am really concentrating on rubber hoses across the board. Your rust work is far beyond my skills.

No problem I will say the first time cutting into the body was uneasy. After the first cuts and tacking in a few spots it’s not so bad. shortly I’ll be posting a few more spots I tackled. I only have a few more areas to deal with but I can only get to it as time allows. (Knowing how to weld helps too😂)

I had a full set of slee brake lines sitting on the shelf and some time. I replaced all soft lines with slee extended and all hard lines on axles and between the soft lines. Very pleased with the out come and performance of braking

Brake lines were our starting point. We were told the originals were too badly cracked to pass inspection. We were going to do your Slee lines until I discovered PartSouq......

First picture post 23 the rubber part of the frame mounted bump stop is missing.
I would get that replaced or shock damage could occur.

speaking of bump stops one of my front ones also rusted off. The spring tower looks fine but the under side where the bump stop goes is all rotted is that replaceable where the spring seat is? Or do I have myself another welding project?

The 94s had one’s that are frame mounted & the one inside the coils.
So not sure which ones your talking about can you post a picture?

Finally after waiting for weeks/months for the lines to arrive from Japan. I was able to get the ac going again. I replaced just about all the lines soft and hard also the condenser, compressor, and drier.
