in the process of changing my injectors due to persistent code 26 . Pretty much all the clips on the connectors when pressed to release had snapped they’re so brittle from the heat . Anyone did anything when putting them back other than using an electric tape . Thanks

I replaced all of mine with the pigtails from Ballinger (several of my wires were burned and had exposed wire). They're pretty cheap. I also replaced all the wire insulation.
 
That EGR valve is out and the plenum intake. Whats the best route send the injectors to RC injectors or buy a brand new oem injectors. IM running rich mixture can RC injectors fix if I had a stuck open injectors? Thanks

Follow the procedure in the service manual for cleaning them. And make sure you replace all three seals and coat them with gasoline when installing them.

You do not need to buy pigtails to replace the broken connector housings. You only need the housings themselves. The part number is on the rear of the housing. The instructions for replacing them are in the Wire Harness Repair Manual, in the 80 Resources section.

And I'd recommend getting a can of Carbon-Off to clean the intakes, and throttle body, while you have them off.

Agreed.

I originally bought just connectors, but then realized I had toasted, cracked, exposed wires and had to reorder with pigtails.
 
When I've changed connectors, I found some of the pins end up out of shape from removing old connectors. Or just wear and tear.
Pugtails aren't my preference, but ordering replacement terminals or pigtails at least is cheap insurance.
Then, some wires will be brittle, and trimming the minimum off to get a good termination with just a new terminal might be too much length taken off
 
Just to add an update . So like others did first I just bought The connectors but found out The terminals are toasted specially no 6 so I guess my code 26 rich mixture is causing that not a good Electrical flow to injector that caused no 6 to do droplets instead OF spray sa per report ON The injector rebuild. I ended UP using Ballenger pigtails ON The injectors. No more gas smell at start up. Code has been gone , shes been running TOP again it felt that she has a lot OF Power now. Throttle response was quick Best since I got her . No more backfiring. Thanks everyone and happy thanksgiving .
