93 yota fresh topend, wont run!?.

Well, i got this truck from a buddy who said the head gasket was gone. I heard it run before i pulled it apart, and purred like a kitten even with gasket blown. I pulled it apart, milled the head and changed what gaskets needed, and now it fires up for a few seconds and thats all i get? I have cheched and recheched the timing, and its good, but i cant hear the fuel pump going??? Any help would be great!

Are you sure the MAF on top of the airbox is plugged in?

Put a jumper across the B+ and Fp contacts in the Diagnostic connector, see if it starts. This forces the fuel pump to run with the key on.

Is it a 22re? Until I know for sure just make sure all wires are connected. When you get it running can you keep it running by hitting the gas pedal? Replace spark plugs? I've had a problem similar to this

Hi seen this is an old thread but there is a ground for the fuel system if it's an 22're on the bottom area if the intake manifold it's a triangular. Or diamond shaped platform
