Hmm I guess mine has always been out since I bought it too :)

Curious though, is there any difference in the Gray based bulbs (hazard switch bulb) and the brown based ones used in the PNRD2L in the gauge cluster. I have some extras of those when I changed all of mine out. The base appears to be the same and the size of the bulb is just a tad bit longer but same diameter.
Ahh hell.. I'm gonna try it and let you all know :)

Results:
Gray based bulbs (I think # 84999-10240) are not as bright as the Brown based ones (# 90072-02005) used in the gauge cluster. But they do fit and work fine in the switches.
I also found a temporary substitute for the switch bulbs at Radio Shack. 12V MICROLAMP (2 pk)
Model: 272-1092 | Catalog #: 272-1092 for $1.50, but you need to keep the base of the burnt out bulb. These are smaller, but put out a similar amount of light to the gray based bulbs. I'm not sure how long they will last, and when you put them in the base, I wrapped the leads around the plastic a few times to keep them from falling out.

Right now I have a brown based bulb in the Hazard switch, and one of the micro lamps in the ECT switch, all the rest are stock. So we'll see how long they last, if I can remember to post back up if they burn out anytime soon.

Mine hasnt worked in the 2 years Ive owned ours...But then again the "D" light hasnt either :)

It's amazing how we get used to lights not working. My drive has never worked since I' ve owned the truck(from 146,000. Even though I know where the hazard switch is, when it came down to it, I couldn't remember or find it. How stupid is that.
