Hi,

I have a 1992 Toyota 4x4 Pickup. I would like to replace the front wheel bearings. To do this I need to disassemble the front axle hub. I am reviewing the directions in the OEM manual and it references step e, "Install and tighten the two bolts, and remove the flange."

What two bolts do you use to remove the flange?

Thanks!

hes talking about the 4 threaded holes that curently dont have bolts in them. Is where hes saying to put the bolts and tighten . I beleve thats what hes saying. im about to do this on my 86

If it's like other yotas they're there if the flange is stuck in place, but you shouldn't have a hard time pulling the flange off. Try it without the bolts, it should come off...

All true above. Pull the dust cap off, remove the snap ring from the axle shaft. Remove the 6 10mm nuts, use a brass drift to pop the cone washers out. Then if the flange won't budge use a couple of bolts (8x1.25mm I think) to push the flange off the hub.

If i remember correctly, on the 80 series you can use some bolts that hold the shroud on the radiator (or something like that). My point is Toyota is great at using bolts of the same size on all sorts of parts. Look at the truck or the spare parts bin and you may find the right size if need be.

I doubt you will even need to go that route though. Should come right off
