'91 Tailgate on a '94 - are they the same

So a mud member has a '91 tailgate for sale that is in excellent shape. Can anyone confirm if it is an exact fit on my '94.

From the pics I've seen there are some differences. The '91 has the reverse lights in the tailgate (I could live with that), where the '94 doesn't. And it looks like the bends are slightly diifferent where they line up with the top and bottom of the tail lights.

Does anyone have one of each that they can compare for me?

They are a bit different because the 91's were available with a rear swing arm spare tire mount. The back up lights would have been useless with a tire in the way. Otherwise there is no difference in the way they fit.

The only tailgate I know of with lights on it is for a 4Runner...

IIRC, the one without the lights on it are for the swing out tire carrier...

If it looks te same I venture to guess they are the same... (4 4Runners that is)
