When aggressively getting on the gas around 3000 rpm, the truck revs and does not go forward. I believe my clutch is slipping. Is this a sign of it needing replaced? Should I also replace the slave cylinder? Any info or pointers would be helpful. Thanks!

Howdy! My 85 pickup started doing the same thing on the trip to deliver it to the new owner. Over 200,000 on my original clutch, so I just made him an adjusted offer he liked. He was OK with dealing with the clutch replacement for a better price, and I sleep better. John

Yes sounds like the clutch is worn out. The main parts that's you normally replace in this repair is the throw out bearing, pilot bearing, pressure plate and of course the clutch disk.
You will need to have the flywheel machined. Most shops offer one in a box already done.

The slave only needs to be replaced if it leaks.
A good tech will flush the system anyway with the clutch service.
Marlin Crawler has a sick clutch kit for aggressive driving. I have one. It's been punished and holds up great.

new clutch time

Thanks guys, I thought the clutch was dead. The truck has 230 000 on it. I ordered the turbo clutch up grade from marlin crawler, hope it all fits and works.
