I just recently had an inner cv boot tear on me, i have the new boot but have been holding off on replacing it due to not having the time to do it... whats the fastest and easiest way to replace it... i would appreciate any and all help.

If yew wanna be friends, you can start by not calling yo Mini a Tacoma....

:D Welcome....> :flipoff2: < newb salute :D (hey I don't make this stuff up...it's true)

If I was gonna do a boot job...I'd jack up the side. Remove the hub dial. Remove the axle shaft retainer bolt. Remove the bolts that hold the inner CV (Tripod joint) to the axle flange. Tap the studs from the flange, and remove the half shaft (axle). You get nice new and purdy bands when you get new boots but the special tool that's really needed cost money and lives at the parts store. I'd take the joint there and buy a guy a coke and candy bar to let me do it there, or if you prefer just loan-a-tool and bring it home.
Cause if I mess something up, I'd like for somebody to help me out, cause I wouldn't exactly have a whole heapin mess of experience with the band tool.

And if you wheel I would look into this as well:

Fastest and Easiest: Put in new axles. Or do like I did (at the advice of fellow Mudders) and get used manual hubs and axles from a s****per for cheap.

Welcome to Mud!:grinpimp:

X2!! Ixneigh on the ADD'eh, if that's what you have....

The swap is a no brainer, easier than changing yer own oil...

and you get Low2 and better (slightly) mpg. Lock them in the winter for shift on the fly 4WD...
