89 front axle seal

How do I get this out? Is there a special tool?

It looks like Toyota uses a small slide hammer. I think I used something I had for pulling a pilot bearing.

I have one of those, too, and may have used it when I did my knuckles years ago. But this seal is pretty far back inside the ball at the end of the axle and I wasn't sure there is enough clearance for that lever arm tool

Yes it will work.
You use just one end of it. Get a bite of the seal and pull.
